Make Cleaning Your Room FUN!!! (Teen Edition)

Every week or so it comes that time to clean our rooms. Which is SUPER boring, right? And NONE of us want to do it, because we're busy rewatching a series we've already watched ten times. Been there, done that. But it's different with this guide! I will show you a whole new, fun way to get your room cleaning done fast! If you like this blog post, then subscribe to my blog! Step 1- Turn that music up!

Whenever you clean, it's REALLY boring if you don't have music. So get on Spotify, find your playlist, and JAM OUT!! Trust me this will make cleaning your room ten times better! If your all-time favorite song comes on while you're cleaning, then just stop cleaning for a second and lip-sync all the words! Nobody's watching!

Step 2- Grab ALL your supplies!

Right here the keyword is ALL unless you'd rather walk up and down and up and down 15 stairs over and over again to get a trash bag or duster. But definitely get all your supplies I would recommend a-

• duster

• trash bag

• water (to drink)

• paper towels

• and spray

Those are the most important ones, or how Baloo would say "it's the bear necessities!" Get what you need for your room, these are just suggestions! Now go collect your materials and come back for the next step!

NOW THE CLEANING BEGINS

Step 3- Put away anything that belongs in a kitchen.

We all probably have ten drinks, 9 plates, 8 bowls, and maybe a spoon or two. Our rooms really are like that one Christmas song. So before you do anything else, just return the kitchen stuff to it's rightful owner, the dishwasher. I bet your room already looks cleaner!

Step 4- Pick up all your trash.

To be honest, after this step you're most likely at least a quarter the way done. Just go around picking up all the trash in your room like tissues, food garbage, wrappers, your brother...just kidding...maybe. This is where your trash bag comes in handy! Just toss everything in there and tada, you've got no trash in your room! It looks cleaner already!

Step 5- Pick up anything orange, pink, yellow, or red

Have you ever heard of warm colors? The colors listed above are considered warm colors because they are the color of fire. That's what you're picking up right now. So pick up everything orange, pink, yellow, or red on your floor - EXCEPT for clothes, that comes later. This makes it easy and very satisfying to clean your room!

Step 6- Pick up clothes on your floor.

We ALL have a pile of clothes whether it be just straight on your floor or some next to you hamper in your closet - PICK THEM UP. After this step, you are SOOOOO close to finishing!! Just stick with me for a few more steps. I know you can do it! Cleaning up the clothes on your floor makes such a difference!

step 7- Pick up everything blue, green, or purple

Now that all the warm colors are gone, we need to pick up the cool colors. Cool colors are the opposite of warm colors. After you do this step, most, if not all of the stuff on your floor should be picked up. If not, just go ahead and pick up those few things you might have. Yay, you're almost there!

Step 8- Use the spray and paper towels

Yay, the second to last step! You're almost there, so don't give up now. Now is the time to pull out that spray and paper towels to clean any surfaces that are nasty or if you have a bathroom, clean your sink. This step I think takes the longest, but is a must-do. Also, pull out that duster and get all that annoying dust! You're SO close!

Step 9- Make your bed.

After you make your bed you should be done with cleaning your room! When you make your bed it just ties the whole room together somehow! When you make your bed you can make it however you want! If you want to throw some throw pillows on there, go for it, or maybe some stuffed animals. YOU DO YOU! Yay! you made it!
