Are you bored of TikTok? Me too! I have seen so many YouTube videos, blog posts, Pinterest pins, etc. about things to do this summer. But there is one difference between this one and the others- this one is all about TEENS! Instead of homemade play-doh, it will have a slime throwback! Enjoy!

10) Learn a dance from a movie...
This one is SUPER fun especially if you learn a dance from one of your favorite movies! Some of my favorite dances are-
It is so much fun to learn one of these dances! And there are many more than just these. Look around the internet to find one you really like and that will take a good few hours out of your day! This is definitely a good option if you are feeling active!

9) Dye your hair...
Now DON'T DO THIS WITHOUT PERMISSION!!! But if you ask, and your parents say yes, then this is SUPER fun to do. Just make sure you use temporary dye so you aren't going to school with pink hair. I dyed my hair blue for the summer. The dye I used was Colorista by L'Oreal. Make sure if you have brown hair to use the kind for brown hair, and if you have blonde hair, get the one for blonde hair. TIP: If you have blonde hair but want a super vibrant hair color then you should get the kind for dark blonde hair. It will come out really pretty. If you dye your hair and don't like it, then Colorista sells a color remover! You only live once so go crazy!

8) Learn a new language...
This one is super fun for everyone! Now, of course, this one won't be easy or just take one afternoon, but once you learn it you'll have really cool bragging rights! Now if you don't want to learn Spanish or French then you should look into ASL, American sign language. It's super fun to learn! I am starting to learn it and I LOVE IT! You should try it! 7) Binge a whole TV show...
Personally, this is one I do A LOT. I have Roku and it's a lifesaver. If you don't have one, you NEED ONE. My favorite streaming platforms are Netflix, HBO Max, and Prime Video. Back to binging TV though, it's super fun. The best place to do that is probably Netflix. My favorite shows to binge on Netflix are Vampire Diaries, The Flash, and Legacies. But I know a lot of people like Grey's Anatomy and Supernatural. Another thing to binge is the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe! If you want suggestions on what to watch on HBO Max read my other blog post, Top 5 "must watch" movies + Tv shows on HBO Max.

6) Redo your room...
There are two ways you can do this. 1) You can just move around your decorations. Maybe move your bed, it takes no money, same wall color and everything. 2) I like to call the full redo. New decor, full new layout, new wall color (totally optional). This does cost money, but if you set a budget then it's less of a surprise when you go to your Amazon cart and see you spent 500 dollars. Before you start you should also look at Pinterest for inspiration. Right now I love either a minimalist look or a boho look. Linked below are some cute room decorations!
5) Make a bullet journal...
Now I know what your thinking "I would never EVER keep up with that" because SAME HERE. But how many of you have a billion unused notebooks? Guilty again. This is a good use of your time. You can buy cute pens, highlighters, and if you want to buy another journal, you do you. Definitely check out my Pinterest board, Bullet journal. I hope you enjoy bullet journaling. It is super fun!

4) Go on a bike ride in your neighborhood...
Maybe you want some fresh air or want to get away from your annoying sibling. Whatever the reason, pop your earbuds in your ear, put on your helmet, get on your bike and ride like your brother is chasing you. Make sure to look out for cars, but other than that it is so nice to just ride on the sidewalk. If you have an Apple Watch, set an exercise goal for outdoor cycle and when you get back you can see all the stats about your ride!

3) Make some slime...
Do you remember when glue plus laundry detergent blew up the internet? Well, I do, and I remember making a TON of it from fluffy slime to butter slime. I think it would be super fun, but messy, to make some 3 years later! So get your friends on a Zoom call or Facetime and buy some glue, food dye, shaving cream, and activator. I could literally sit and make slime for hours.

2) Pull an all-nighter...
So this one you can only do at night but picture this - popcorn in hand on a Netflix party with all of your friends. After the movie ends, you make some edible cookie dough and watch more movies, TikToks, and YouTube all night. Now does that sound fun or what? If you said what, then you're crazy. And if you're tired you can go to bed or suck it up, it's your choice. The most rewarding part though is seeing the sunrise and then sleeping the next day.

1) Tie-Dye something...
This is like the most basic thing to do in the summer but it is super fun. All you need is a tie-dye kit and a couple of white clothes, socks, bandanas, etc. Trust me, this is super fun and after you dye them, you can wear them! Try dying them all different ways!

I hope all of you will at least try something from this list. I'm pretty sure right now most of us are getting tired of watching TikTok all day, so there was my list of top 10 things to do at home this summer (teen edition).
